About Vivo Ignite Science & Technology Awards

Vivo Ignite, Science & Innovation Awards is a three-stage program that started in September 2022 and ran until February 2023. The program is a collaboration between the global smartphone brand vivo and Hindustan Times as its knowledge partner. Open to Indian students in grades 8—12, the bespoke event was curated with the goal to provide students with scientific tools and encourage them to create projects that address social issues.

Our Approach

The HT Media team designed and curated a bespoke IP exclusively for the students community. Keeping science and innovation for social impact at the heart of this bespoke property, HT Media amplified the buzz around this event through print ads and editorial coverage, along with digital campaigns and on-ground activations.

Campaign Execution

The Vivo Ignite Science & Innovation Awards campaign ran digitally pan-India. In key North India markets, the campaign ran print ads and gained editorial coverage. The HT Media team also conducted on-ground activations across 18 educational hubs / cities in India.

Results

  • School kids from 8th to 12th standard were engaged in an interesting contest where they had to create an innovation-based science, innovations and technology to make a social impact.
  • The campaign covered PAN India through digital, key north markets through print and top 18 education hubs / cities through on-ground activation.
  • The campaign delivered over 3000 great innovative ideas under two key legs i.e concept and prototype.
  • Over 25 lacs + worth cash prizes and rewards were given and the top 5 winners in each concept and prototype category were felicitated.
